Alexandra is passionate about all aspects of women’s sexual and reproductive health and believes that this must start with providing quality gynaecological care to girls and young women.
In addition to her general Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at The Royal Hospital for Women and the Royal North Shore Hospitals she has completed extra training in Sexual health and Paediatric and Adolescent gynaecology at Sydney Sexual Health Clinic, The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She achieved the highest mark in Australia and New Zealand in the 2012 RANZCOG written membership examination.
She is a member of the RANZCOG Board of Examiners for DRANZCOG qualification and a lecturer of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology for the Diploma in Child Health/ International Postgraduate Paediatric certificate and regularly invited to lecture at RANZCOG educational meetings on topics related to Paediatric and Adolescent gynaecology.
Alexandra is also responsible for teaching and training of Sydney University medical students and junior doctors in her roles at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospitals. She is a member of the Australian Society of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology and the Australian and New Zealand Vulvovaginal Society.
Alexandra’s interests range from Paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, contraception and preconception advice and family planning, infertility, sexually transmitted infections, problems of early pregnancy, vulval skin diseases, colposcopy and management of premalignant disease of the cervix, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, polycystic ovarian syndrome and management of benign ovarian pathology to low and high risk obstetrics.
